            My journey into agriculture and agritourism began in a remote farming village in South Asia, where I was born and raised. Growing up in an agricultural community allowed me to actively participate in daily farming activities from an early age. These experiences inspired a deep appreciation for agriculture and eventually guided me toward a professional career in the field.

             Pursuing my passion for agriculture, I earned a Degree in Agricultural Science with a specialization in Food Science and Technology. After immigrating to the United States, I began my professional career with the Los Angeles Unified School District, where I worked as a Food Nutritionist Aide for two years. Later, I relocated to the state of Maryland and joined the Maryland Department of Agriculture as a Certified Seed Analyst, serving for approximately 14 years.

           Alongside my professional career, I continued to nurture my passion for agriculture by visiting local farms and encouraging farmers to open their farm gates — and even backyard gardens — to visitors. I strongly believed that connecting communities with agriculture could create meaningful and mutual benefits for both farmers and travelers. Over time, I became increasingly involved in developing agritourism opportunities and volunteering within local communities to promote agricultural awareness, farm visits, hands-on farming experiences, and appreciation for rural lifestyles.

     These experiences further inspired me to travel both locally and internationally in search of unique agricultural destinations and cultural farming experiences. As my interest in agritourism grew, I recognized the importance of creating travel opportunities for individuals who wish to learn, explore, and experience diverse agricultural practices around the world.

      With this vision in mind, I founded LAKNEST Travel LLC, based in Maryland, USA, with the primary mission of promoting agritourism as a meaningful and enriching travel experience. Agritourism remains a growing niche market, and we believe that greater efforts and awareness can create lasting positive impacts for both travelers and farming communities worldwide. We look forward to helping travelers discover the beauty, culture, and value of agriculture through unforgettable travel experiences.

        In addition to agritourism, LAKNEST Travel LLC has expanded and diversified its vacation offerings to include cruises, land tours, and resort experiences. Since 2025, we have proudly been affiliated with Avoya Travel Network, enabling us to provide exceptional travel services and a wide variety of destinations across all seven continents.
